Ahead of Wahl’s Next Pet Model Competition, a pet grooming brand asked 1,553 dog owners to weigh in on their favorite breeds.
The recent poll also revealed some surprising feelings about our furry friends!
Two-thirds of women and over half of men said they would feel more heartbroken losing their dog than their partner in a breakup.
And the love doesn’t stop there—an astonishing 91% of women and 76% of men wouldn’t part with their beloved canine, even for a whopping $1 million! Isn’t it clear? Dogs truly are our best friends!
Crowned Australia’s most beautiful dog was the hardworking and dependable kelpie, showcasing its undeniable charm.
Following closely in second is the the ultimate family companion the golden retriever, with its gorgeous golden coat and affectionate nature.
In third place, we have the majestic German shepherd, whose striking and noble appearance solidifies its status as a beauty contender.
Not to be outdone, spoodles, French bulldogs, and Cocker spaniels captured the fourth, fifth, and sixth spots, respectively, adding to the list of lovable canines.
The border collie grabbed seventh place with its stunning fur, while the beloved Staffordshire bull terrier, one of Australia’s favorites, came in eighth. Rounding out the top ten are the ever-popular Labradors and Australian Shepherds in ninth and tenth place.
