New Foes and a Revenge Story Unfolds

Season 2 introduces Abby (played by Kaitlyn Dever), a key figure from the game’s storyline whose presence shakes up Joel and Ellie’s world. It also teases the emergence of dangerous factions, including the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) and the cult-like Seraphites. These groups are set to play a significant role in the season’s escalating conflicts.

The footage also hints at growing tensions between Joel and Ellie. The repercussions of Joel’s lie about the Fireflies’ true intentions in the Season 1 finale appear to weigh heavily on Ellie, adding emotional depth to the story.
