Two people rescued from floodwaters at Gumlu

Two people have been rescued from floodwaters near the Burdekin region this morning.

Around 3.40am, a vehicle became stuck in floodwaters on the Bruce Highway at Gumlu.

QFES helped a man in his 20s and a teenage boy to safety.

Paramedics treated the pair at the scene, with neither patient needing to go to hospital.
