82-year-old woman killed in Bemerside following flooding

A second person has died in Ingham during the town’s flood disaster.

Queensland Police say the body of an 82-year-old woman was located in a cane paddock off Fulton Drive in Bemrside at around 11am Tuesday, after floodwaters receded in the area.

Authorities say the woman was last seen by a nearby resident around 6pm on Monday, inside a two-storey house.

It is the second person to die during the flood event since Sunday, where a 63-year-old died after the SES boat she was on collided with a tree and flipped.
