A 67-year-old Dingo Beach man has died after two cars collided near Airlie beach.
It happened on a Strathdickie Road and Staniland Drive intersection at Strathdickie, around 6.30pm yesterday.
Paramedics were called to the scene following reports of two patients being trapped.

The Dingo Beach man, who was the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles passed away at the scene.
A 43-year-old woman, who was the diver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a stable condition with spinal injuries.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
